Version 1.12 - Fixed crash on 68000 based machines (Mac Plus and SE's) running system 6. Improved window tiling on small screen Macs.
Version 1.22 - Added Sorting capabilities and View menu. Added Free space display to main window. The size and position of the main window is saved and restored on the next execution. Fixed problems with crash after several searches (running out of memory). Corrected horizontal scroll update problem. Added support for quit event during shutdown (under system 7) so CatFinder will end when Mac is shutdown. Added cool spinning world cursor. Corrected problems that caused crashes during startup on some 68000 based machines.
Note to users of previous releases of CatFinder: Catalogs created with releases of CatFinder prior to release 1.22 did not contain the free space amount. These catalogs will be displayed with "n/a" in the Free space area of the main window. To get the correct free space displayed for these catalogs you must re-catalog the disk. This can be done by using the Update option under the Catalog menu.
Version 1.31 - Stuffit archive support. Arrow key support. Corrected problem with invalid creation date being set on catalogs.
Version 1.32 - Corrected some problems setting the current directory. Added support for Self Extracting Stuffit Archives. Added more code to catch invalid or corrupt catalog files.
Version 1.33 - Added shareware notice and registration procedure. Improved search performance.

Version 1.34 - Corrected several bugs that caused hang during report and search. Corrected bug that caused invalid catalog's when using Catalog-Update. Corrected bug that caused invalid folder size to be reported when folder contained Stuffit files (catalogs created with earlier versions must be updated for correct folder size to be reported).
Version 1.35 - Corrected bug that caused some disks to display contents of other disks in catalog file. Corrected problem with cataloging Stuffit files that contained many nested folders.
Version 1.36 - Corrected bug that caused crash on older macs (SEs and Pluses).
Version 1.41 - Revamped and enhanced the search dialog and functionality. Added progress bar's to the cataloging and search operations. Allow the user to halt cataloging and search processes. Fixed problems that caused crash when CatFinder was brought to the foregroud (ex. after printing). Improved recovery after "out of memory" conditions.
Version 1.51 - Added support for scanning and displaying the contents of Compactor Pro archives. Fixed problem causing CatFinder to fail during catalog process because it did not recognize aliases properly. Corrected problems that could cause CatFinder windows to go blank. Corrected problems with Finder Select and Launch of files within an Stuffit archive. Many minor fixes to cleanup interface.
Version 1.52 - Corrected bug that prevented CatFinder from search inside Compactor Pro archives.
Version 1.53 - Corrected problems that caused cataloging to fail when reading Stuffit or Compactor Pro archives. Added prompt for creator name when CatFinder cannot find the application name associated with a creator signiture, this occurs when adding to the creator menu on the search dialog.
Version 1.54 - Added error checking for corrupt or invalid Stuffit and Compactor Pro archives. Added new memory/heap manager to improve memory utilization. Corrected problem with views getting out of sync when changing the sort criteria.
Version 1.55 - Fixed bug in new memory manager that caused random crash during execution (type 1 or type 3 errors).
Version 1.61 - Modified Catalog format to provide for significantly faster searchs. Note that catalogs built with previous releases will still be searched at the old speed. Corrected bug in the version resource. Added support for Kagi Shareware registration service.
Version 1.62 - Corrected incompatibility with PowerTalk. This problem would cause CatFinder to crash when attempting to catalog a disk. Changed internet email address.
